Naples: IPCM shows its concern for agriculture in Europe
IPCM shows its concern about the situation of European farmers. The problems of agriculture are the central theme of the international seminar held in Naples (Italy). FederAgri and MCL - members of the IPCM – are organizing this meeting, from March 14 to 16.
The opening session features Alfonso Luzzi, new president of the MCL (Movimento Cristiano Lavoratori) and general secretary of FederAgri (Federazione Nazionale per lo Sviluppo dell’Agricultura); and with Gaetano Manfredi, mayor of Naples.
“New jobs for new workers” is the issue addressed by Leonardo de Marco, from FederAgri. Indeed, the options of new workers - Europeans and immigrants - in the world of agriculture are an important challenge.
Some prominent European social leaders also participate, such as Piergiorgio Sciacqua, vice president of IPCM and co-president of EZA; Roswitha Guttbehut (CDA, Germany); Joseph Touvenel (CFTC, France); Norbert Schnedl (GOD; Austria); and others from Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Czech Republic. We want to highlight the role of Rita Mateos (AFAMMER, Spain), who speaks about rural women.
On behalf of the Italian Government, the participation of Edmondo Cirielli, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is planned.
This seminar is part of the IPCM's set of activities. It has the collaboration of EZA and the Fondazione Europa Popolare, and funding from the European Union.
