Madrid: second seminar on “Migration and development cooperation policies of the European Union and its member countries”
On 26 September, the International Platform for Cooperation and Migration (IPCM) organised, in the Office of the representation of the European Commission in Spain, the second seminar on “Migration and development cooperation policies of the European Union and its member countries” which was funded by a grant from the European Union Secretary of State (Order AEC 240/2014 dated 18 February). This seminar was intended for the general public and aimed at familiarising Spaniards with the European integration process by facilitating a greater understanding of the common policies on issues of immigration and development cooperation.
GUIMARÃES (PORTUGAL): THE IPCM HELPS TO ORGANISE THE SEMINAR “THE CRISIS AND YOUTH EMPLOYMENT” (22/09/15)
From 19 to 21 in Guimarães (Portugal) an international seminar was held, entitled "The crisis and youth employment - Priority for employment and Social Responsibility - The importance of the social partners within the framework of social dialogue" with funding from the European Commission and the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA), and with the collaboration of the International Platform for Cooperation and Migration (IPCM).
GUIMARÃES (PORTUGAL): SPECIAL IPCM ASSEMBLY
The extraordinary Assembly of the International Platform for Cooperation and Migration (IPCM) took place in Guimarães (Portugal) on 19 September, approving the following points:
- Amendment of the statutes of the International Platform for Cooperation and Migration.
- The admission of the Spanish Centre for Workers' Affairs (CEAT) as a new member.
- The status of the members of the Institutul de Formare Economică şi Socială (IFES) of Romania and Bashkimi i Sindikatave të të Pavarura Shqipërisë (BSPSH) of Albania was amended in both cases, with these organisations both becoming observers.
- The Workers' Social Centre (CST in its Spanish acronym) has now formally stood down from membership.
