Amarante (Portugal): IPCM General Assembly welcomes a new member.
The IPCM held its Ordinary General Assembly in Amarante (Porto, Portugal) on September 26, 2025. IPCM admitted a new full member: the Mirlo Association for Development, Humanism and Culture, based in Madrid, Spain.
The IPCM Ordinary General Assembly met in Amarante, thanks to the hospitality of Fidestra. First, those present paid tribute to Jesús Casado, former secretary of the Board of Directors, who had passed away two days earlier, and recited the Lord's Prayer in Latin.
Thirteen full members of IPCM participated, either in person or via videoconference. The General Assembly made several important decisions. The Board of Directors had met beforehand.

The President, the Secretary, and the Deputy Treasurer presented their reports. The Assembly approved the 2024 accounts, reviewed the 2025 financial situation, and approved the budget for 2026.
The Assembly admitted a new full member: the Mirlo Association for Development, Humanism and Culture (Madrid, Spain).
The Assembly decided that CEFA (Italy), FDD (Spain), and CSDR (Romania) would become Observer members. It also decided that SAUATT (Albania) and IFES (Romania) would retain their Observer status.
Thus, IPCM now has twenty members: fifteen full members and five observers.
Finally, it was decided that the next Extraordinary General Assembly would be held in Milan on November 25.
