Seville: The UN summit brings together numerous states, with notable absences. The IPCM is present at the sessions.
The IPCM delegation to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development was composed of the president, the secretary, and the vice-treasurer. They attended the working sessions, where they heard interventions by the presidents and government envoys of numerous countries. They also held meetings with other NGOs and university professors.

The UN summit, held in Seville (June 30–July 3), brought together seventy heads of state and government and two hundred delegations from states and international organizations. The absence of the United States, which left its seats empty, was notable.
Attendees were able to gain an overview of current global issues: the fight against poverty, the financing of development cooperation, the problem of external debt, the financial situation of countries, the participation of civil society, the involvement of companies in development, etc. Numerous governments raised their voices to demand a change in the current financial system, especially with regard to debt interest payments. The situation is so complex that some countries have to pay more in debt interest than in healthcare for their populations. The Holy See and Caritas International launched the "Transforming Debt into Hope" campaign.

This is the first time that IPCM has participated in a UN summit. Being accredited by the United Nations is a recognition of the work of IPCM, which was represented by the President, Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga; the Secretary, Ignacio Argote; and the Vice-Treasurer, Maribel Alañón. All three attended sessions and met with government delegates, non-governmental organizations, and university professors. Overall, IPCM's participation has been very beneficial.

IPCM welcomes the holding of the summit and the approval of the document called the "Compromiso de Seville" because it represents a further step in the international community's fight to alleviate poverty and hunger worldwide. At the same time, it recognizes the limitations and difficulties.
The "Compromiso de Sevilla" document has been published in the official UN languages: https://docs.un.org/A/CONF.227/2025/L.1
