The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (Ff4D) is being held in Seville from June 30 to July 3. The day before, June 29, the King and Queen of Spain hosted a welcome dinner for world leaders.

The first Finance for Development Summit took place in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2002. Subsequent summits were held in Doha, Qatar, 2008, and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2015. This is a process of the international community that addresses development in its entirety, including its financial needs. More information at https://financing.desa.un.org/ffd4

The delegations include the UN Secretary-General, representatives of states, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions.
The approval of the final document, entitled the "Seville Commitment," is eagerly awaited.

The IPCM is participating in this conference. Three members of the IPCM Board of Directors are accredited: Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, President; Ignacio Argote, Secretary; and Maribel Alañón, Vice-Treasurer.
