Lucca: Archbishop Giuletti: “We need immigrants and an intelligent immigration policy, which includes training.”
Monsignor Paolo Giuletti, Archbishop of Lucca (Italy) participated in the international seminar organized by MCL, EZA and PICM. It was celebrated in the convent of San Cerbone, of the Daughters of San Francisco de Sales, on September 18, 2024. Immigration issues have been addressed.
Monsignor Paolo Guiletti has defended that "we need immigrants and an intelligent immigration policy, which includes training." He has insisted on the vocational meaning of work and the need for a good education.
Piergiorgio Sciacqua recalled that we defend Christian humanism, the tradition of Roman Law, democracy and European values.
Lorenzo Giuntini has spoken about cooperatives in Italy. Vitor Vicente (Portugal) explained the advantages of the active participation of workers in the running of the company. Norbert Schnedl (Austria) explained the Austrian labor model and added: "Europe should be very proud of its education system, its health system and its social security system."
Don Francesco Poli, national ecclesiastical assistant of the MCL, also attended the seminar.
