MILAN: THE IPCM AT THE FOOD EXPO

"Food is the main problem of humanity," said the Dutchman, Bartho Pronk, president of the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA), at the seminar organised by Feder.Agri, member of the IPCM, on 2 and 3 October. Feder.Agri's president, Alfonso Luzzi, explained that this meeting was being held at the Expo because it was focussed on food and agriculture, and emphasized that the encyclical Laudato Si' (Praise be to You) was the new point of reference for discussing development and sustainable economy.

IPCM president, Rafael Rodriguez-Ponga, spoke at the Expo's Civil Society Pavilion and also referred to the other key point of reference currently: the sustainable development goals (SDGs) adopted at the World Summit in New York last week, calling for all to reaffirm their commitment to the fight against poverty. This seminar brought together 60 experts from ten European countries.

Several leaders of the IPCM then visited the Pavilion of Spain.
