Tavira (Algarve, Portugal): the circular economy is the future

The city of Tavira (Algarve, Portugal) has been the meeting point for numerous European social and academic leaders, coming from Portugal, Italy, France, Spain, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Lithuania, Austria and Cyprus.

2023 Tavira Seminario Fidestra

The international seminar was held from May 10 to 12, with the help of the European Union and EZA, within the framework of IPCM activities.

The development of our societies needs the circular economy. The relationship between sustainable development and the environment is the future. The sessions analyzed the training of young people, the incorporation of immigrants, the role of women and the future of social organizations.

The president of the Municipal Chamber of Tavira, Ana Paula Martins, welcomed them, together with the president of Fidestra, Maria Reina Martin, vice president of IPCM.

Among the attendees, Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, president of IPCM and rector of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU of Barcelona; Luc Van de Brande, President of EZA; Piergiorgio Sciacqua, Co-Chairman of EZA; Sigrid Schraml, EZA Secretary General.
