Azores: rural development of a peripheral region

In Ponta Delgada, Azores Islands (Portugal), a large international seminar organized by Fidestra was held in January 2023.

Representatives of various European countries participated, with the help of the European Union, EZA and IPCM. They studied the relationships between rural development, agriculture, tourism, fishing and industry; as well as the local job market and opportunities for immigrants.

The president of Fidestra, Maria Reina Martin, is also vice president of IPCM.
