Ukraine: more than three million refugees

The IPCM is deeply affected by the situation of the Ukrainian refugees.

According to information from the United Nations, “more than 3.1 million refugees forced to flee Ukraine over the past three weeks, and millions internally displaced within the country”. This is what the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) officially says on its website.

UNHCR indicates that ”around 13 million people have been affected in the areas hardest hit by the war within Ukraine and are in need of humanitarian and protection assistance”.

“UNHCR is launching a large-scale multi-purpose cash programme to help internally displaced people (IDPs), who fled their homes and left behind their belongings”.

“UNHCR and UNICEF have agreed to jointly roll out the ‘Blue Dots’ in 6 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania and Slovakia)”.
