IPCM expresses its solidarity with the Ukrainian people

IPCM leaders have expressed their solidarity with the Ukrainian people, in these historical moments.

Ukraine received special attention at the international seminar on the conditions of agricultural workers, organized by FIDESTRA, in Olhão (Algarve, Portugal). The representatives of Ukraine received the support of the participants at this historic moment for their country.

On February 12, the Ukrainian Yuriy Kurylo, deputy chairman of the VOST «Volya» union, intervened. He spoke about the problems of Ukrainians who have emigrated abroad. His words were especially listened to.

Piergiorgio Sciacqua, vice-president of the IPCM, underlined "the friendship and solidarity" with this union and the financial support of the MCL for its training courses for Ukrainians. "At stake is the future of the whole of Europe and the values ​​of the founding fathers of the European Union."

Ignacio Argote, secretary of the IPCM, took the floor and pointed out that “the hallmark of Europe is freedom”. He asked, with emotion, a prayer for Ukraine, as Christians that we are.

Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, president of the IPCM and rector of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (UAO), intervened by videoconference and sent a special message to Ukrainians in these difficult times.

Yuriy Kurylo deeply appreciated the support received. "We will fight not only for the Ukrainian people, but for Europe."

The VOST "Volya" trade union bases its activities on Christian humanism. It is headquartered in the city of Lviv, in the Western Ukraine region. This union is a member of EZA.
