GLOBAL PROBLEMS, STUDIED IN A BOOK BY IPCM

The book Problemas globales, cinco siglos después de la Primera Vuelta al Mundo (Global problems, five centuries after the First Trip Around the World), has recently appeared, published thanks to the participation of the IPCM.

Problemas globales

Global problems, five centuries after the First Trip Around the World, analyzes, among other matters, the ten-year history of the IPCM and collects all its statements.

It is the result of the work carried out by scholars from various countries and various institutions: the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (UAO CEU), in Barcelona; the International Platform for Cooperation and Migration (PICM / IPCM), based in Madrid; and the European Center for Workers' Affairs (EZA), with operational headquarters in Königswinter (Germany). It has been edited by professors Olga Lasaga and Javier Barraycoa, from the UAO CEU Labor Observatory.

The coordinator of the book, Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, has pointed out that "we now collect texts prepared by specialists who have spent many years studying geopolitics, labor issues, immigration, cultural diversity, development and international relations. Thus, we have gathered studies and opinions from different disciplines, to have a rigorous approach on current global issues and, especially, migrations. "

This book also serves as a commemoration of the 500 years of the First Trip Around the World, of the expedition of Magellan and Elcano.

It has been published by CEU Ediciones. It can be purchased at https://www.ceuediciones.es/catalogo/books/right/global-problemas-cinco-siglos-despues-de-la-primera-vuelta-al-mundo-2/

The book includes texts in Spanish, English and Italian.
