AMARANTE (Portugal): Seminar on Migrants and Skilled Labor
The challenges of workforce skills development, particularly for immigrants, were the focus of the European seminar held in the city of Amarante (Porto, Portugal). It was organized by Fidestra, under the direction of Maria Reina Martin, Vice President of IPCM.

Mr. Jesús Casado, former secretary of the IPCM Board of Directors, passed away on September 24th in Madrid at the age of 84. The IPCM deeply mourns the death of one of the founders of our Platform.

Genoa and Asturias: Emigration Museums Help Us Understand Historical and Present-Day Realities
September 10, 2025. The Galata Museo del Mare in Genoa, Italy, and the Emigration Museum ("Archivo de Indianos") in Asturias, Spain, display artifacts and testimonies from Italian and Spanish emigration in the 19th and 20th centuries. Visiting them is a highly interesting experience.
