grtAmaThe International Platform for Cooperation and Migration (IPCM) has collaborated as an institution within the international working group, "Vocational training. Assessment of the levels of young people's integration into the labour market What results have been achieved for the young unemployed?" held in Amarante (Portugal) from 6 to 8 May, 2016. The seminar was organised by the Associação para a Formação, Investigação e Desenvolvimento Social dos Trabalhadores - FIDESTRA - with funding from the European Union and the European Centre for Workers' Questions (EZA).

The seminar was opened by the President of FIDESTRA, Fernando Moura e Silva, along with Josep Calvó, Vice-president of EZA, and Maria Reina Martin, FIDESTRA, who introduced the various organisations taking part.

Over these two days the role of vocational training was discussed as an opening for youth employment. For this a series of round table discussions were held to recount the experiences of countries such as Austria, Albania, Cyprus, Poland, Portugal or Spain on young workers' entry into the labour market, through vocational training.

In this connection, he highlighted the participation of Tsveta Georgieva on behalf of the Humanism and Democracy (H + D) Foundation to recount her experience working with unemployed youth at the Centre for Integration and Participation of Immigrants in Alcobendas - San Sebastian de los Reyes, which belongs to the Community of Madrid and is managed by H & D.
