Bergamo: training of young people, in the European Youth Year
The city of Bergamo (Italy) has been the venue for an international seminar on European studies, organized by EFAL and MCL, on the occasion of the European Youth Year.
Students and professionals from thirteen countries participated: Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Croatia, Austria, Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria and Cyprus.
Among other issues, the participants extensively discussed mobility, migration and opportunities for young people.
The seminar was held on March 1 and 2, at the Bergamo Congress Centre (Centro Congressi Papa Giovanni XXIII). It was focused on training young people, on the European Youth Year and the NextGeneration programme.
This meeting was attended by Antonio di Matteo, general president of the MCL; Piergiorgio Sciacqua, co-president of EZA, vicepresident of IPCM; Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga, president of the IPCM and rector of the Universitat Abat Oliba CEU; Maria Reina Martin, Vice President of EZA and IPCM; Giorgio D'Antoni, legal representative of EFAL; Francesco Poli, ecclesiastical assistant of MCL; Gianluca Ghidoni, MCL National Youth Delegate; Paolo Cesana, director, Fondazione Luigi Clerici; and other leaders of social entities.
Likewise, we would like to point out the presence of several university professors: Rita Bichi, from Unicatt, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore; Alessandro Mini, from the Universitat AbatmCEU University, in Barcelona; Theodoros Fouskas, University of West Attica (Uniwa), Athens.
