Milan: Board Elections. PICM President and Vice-Presidents Re-elected
The PICM General Assembly was held in Milan, Italy, on November 25, 2025. In the Board elections, the president and the three vice-presidents were re-elected. Several changes were made to other positions.
The Fondazione Luigi Clerici hosted the Extraordinary General Assembly. The electoral board consisted of three members: President: Antonio Brandão (Base Fut, Portugal); Secretary: Francisco Domínguez (CEAT, Spain); and Member: Américo Monteiro (LOC, Portugal).


After the secret vote, the result was the following: President: Mr. Rafael Rodríguez-Ponga (Mirlo Association of Development, Humanism and Culture, Spain); vice-president: Mr. Piergiorgio Sciacqua (EFAL, Italy); vice-president: Ms. Maria Reina Martin (Fidestra, Portugal); vice-president: Ms. Aneta Syzkutowitz (EDS-FNS, Poland); secretary: Mrs. Maribel Alañón (Mirlo Association for Development, Humanism and Culture, Spain); deputy secretary: Mr. Alessandro Mini (nominated by EFAL, Italy); treasurer: Mr. Ignacio Argote (CEAT, Spain); vice-treasurer: Mr. Mario González Somoano (CEAT, Spain); member: Mr. Vittorino Rodaro (UNAIE, Italy); member: Mr. Paolo Cesana (Fondazione Luigi Clerici, Italy); member: Ms. Maria de Ceu Moleiro (FTDC, Portugal).
Rafael R. Ponga expressed his gratitude for the support and trust received from all member organizations. He congratulated all members of the Board of Directors, making special mention of the two new members joining the Board (Maria do Ceu Moleiro and Mario G. Somoano). He also expressly thanked two individuals leaving the Board of Directors who contributed to the strengthening of the PICM (Treasurer Josep Calvó and Member Francisco Domínguez).
The President reviewed the main activities of the PICM since its founding in 2009 and proposed that the PICM organizations continue working for the common good, guided by Christian humanism, at both the national and international levels.
Fourteen member entities of the PICM participated in the General Assembly.
